FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLICAmerican Research Center in Egypt - Arizona Chapter LectureGermany sent excavators to Egypt during the Nazi Era.  One of the discoveries during that time was the bust of Nefertiti.   An archival analysis performed by Dr. Thomas Schneider reveals the biographies of Egyptologists in National Socialist Germany – from the emigrants to those who actively militated for the new regime.  This lecture also attempts to align Egyptology –  the study of a “non-Aryan” civilization –   with the Nazi ideology and the political significance of institutions, like the German Archaeological Institute in Egypt.FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE VISIT:   WWW.ARCE.ARIZONA.EDU
