LTRR featured in international awards

The Third American Dendrochronology Conference was in Mendoza, Argentina, in early April 2016. People connected with the Tree-RIng Lab featured prominently in the awards bestowed on members of the international dendrochronological community at the conference.

  • Tom Swetnam, the former LTRR Director, received the Harold C. Fritts Award for Lifetime Achievement in Dendrochronology.
  • Rex Adams, recently retired from the Lab, received the Richard L. Holmes Award for Outstanding Service to Dendrochronology.
  • Connie Woodhouse, an active LTRR researcher, received the Jose A. Boninsegna Frontiers in Dendrochronology Award.

In 2013 the Lab had hosted the Second American Dendrochronology Conference in Tucson.
