Docent-led tour

Join us for our free docent-led tour at 10AM in the lobby of the Bryant Bannister Tree-Ring Building (1215 E. Lowell St.).

Visitors will be introduced to the basic tenets of dendrochronology and have a chance to examine specimens.

A collaboration by the Fred Fox School of Music, School of Art, and LTRR

This performance features the world-premiere of Pine Chant, a mesmerizing new composition by Australian composer Lachlan Skipworth. Inspired by tree-ring growth data from the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research, the piece is a sonic embodiment of twelve Arizona trees and an emotional response to the climate crisis.
