The realization that we in the Northern Hemisphere have been living during a period of abnormally warm temperatures and relatively settled conditions which now may be changing, has spawned considerable recent research. Why do climates change and what is the impact of these changes on human populations? In their attempt to answer these questions, researchers have turned to the past to test their hypotheses and to gather evidence of climate change.</style></abstract></record></records></xml>
