AAAS Elects Tom Swetnam as a Fellow

Thursday, December 4, 2014

The present Director of the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research has pioneered the use of tree-ring data in forest ecology, looking at the interactions of disturbances and climate on ecosystems, and in particular using them to reconstruct the history of fire on the landscape. The American Association for the Advancement of Science has recognized his work by electing him a Fellow, an honor bestowed on a relatively few number of scientists each year.
