Outreach Event

Join docents from LTRR at Kuiper Space Science Building from 4:30-5:30PM to celebrate the University of Arizona's Moon Tree (a sycamore grown from seed that traveled to the moon). Visit the oldest trees in the world, and get the science stories behind them in our exhibit hall at the Bryant Bannister Tree Ring Laboratory. In celebration of the 2015 UA Family Weekend we will be offering lab tours, as well as many hands-on activities for all ages. Come by and explore our exhibits while you learn about the cutting edge research going on in the field of Dendrochronology right here on campus!Half-hour Laboratory tours offered at:

Our outreach team will be hosting a table to engage the Tucson community with tree-ring samples and share the many tales trees tell! If you would like more information on this event taking place in downtown Tucson, or would like to volunteer for this event - please contact Pamela Pelletier. The LTRR table will be on the main plaza next to the main library so please stop by and say hello. We do need several volunteers for this exciting event!

Please join us on the UA Mall between 11am and 2pm to meet our Outreach Team and learn how to be involved with the lab!
